Online Mail Service for Off Gridder’s

Share:

One of the first questions people ask me is, “Where do you have mail sent?”.  My reply is simple, “my online mail service”.

Before getting on the road full time I did a TON of research.  If I was independently wealthy I would have gone completely off grid. For the majority of us out here on the open road we still need to earn a living.  As a result, I (we) need to have some of the “system’s” pieces in order.  The first big item is a legit mailing address.  That is how I learned about Online Mail Delivery Services.  There are a lot of choices out there.  The tricky piece with many of the options is getting an actual physical address that a bank will approve.  Even though you live off grid you may need a credit card, financing on a car, address on your W-2, or an address for your car insurance.  If you plan to completely check out of society… power to you!  If you still need to have a bank account.  Check out St Brendans Isle.

These guys have it figured out!  You get a legit physical address. Plus someone sorts and scans your mail for you!  If/when you need your mail forwarded to you they can overnight it.  Pretty killer service and they walk you through all the red tape the local governments make you jump through.  Check ’em out here https://www.sbimailservice.com/ .  SBI Mail service has been fantastic!  Feel free to comment below if you have any questions on my experience.

I wish I knew about Mail Services back when I lived in a stick & brick house.  No more junk mail, no more walking to the mailbox and they are based in Florida which will give a nice little tax break.

 Here’s how it works:
